Dr. Guo got Ph.D. in economics from New York City University in the United States and a master's in Ritz-Carlton, Japan. He is now served as Silicon Valley Paradise Asset Management Group Chief Economist, International Business Partner, Zhejiang Paradise Silicon Valley Managing Partner, Head of Research Institute. He previously served as Chief Economist in Asia Pacific for the Institute of International Finance (IIF) in Washington, DC, where he was responsible for exchanges and cooperation with Chinese regulators and large financial enterprises. He used to be an economist at The Conference Board and an associate professor of research at Northern Kentucky University. He was also a visiting professor at universities such as Cincinnati University in the United States, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University and Fudan University.

Dr. Guo is a researcher at Zhejiang University Capital Market Research Center, a MBA mentor at CEIBS and a visiting professor at Silicon Valley Innovation Institute in San Francisco. He is an expert on the monthly "Chief Economist Monthly Survey" of CBNF and frequently receives interviews from Xinhua News Agency Xinhua News Agency, China Daily, The Wall Street Journal and other Chinese and foreign media interviews, selected in 2011 the American Who is Who in America. His research interests mainly cover China's macroeconomic and financial markets. So far he has published nearly 20 international academic papers and over 100 reports in both English and Chinese, many of which have been reprinted by well-known international media or institutions.
